SF, CA 2008
Most would see this guy on a street in San Fran and not think twice. He's homeless, he smells, he's drunk, and he's having issues trying to eat a bread-bowl.
I was getting a few shots of a street performance and met Steve. He captured me before I captured him! Aside from him being hammered and funnier than a Bug's Bunny reunion tour, he also served 3 tours in 'Nam, awarded 2 P-Hearts, a Silver Star, has 3 children, and loves jazz.
Most of the people that day, before and after, have forgotten Steve. I haven't, and I won't. He is a man that deserves more than where he is at and I pray he truly gets what he deserves.
He is unforgotten...at least to me.
Don't judge those you see on the street. They all have a story...and if you take the time to listen, you may find yourself in my position. Unable to forget the forgotten.
